Two people come out of a building and into a story

Have you ever walked out of a building with a person annoyingly close to you all the way up until you reach the front entrance of the building where you then have to decide who walks out the door first?

The other day I was confronted with this exact scenario. This time however, it stuck with me for a while after. Where had this person come from? Why was he in this building? Where was he going to now? What had he just been told....and by whom?

It's just mind boggling how many people you cross paths with everyday. How many of the people who sit in peak hour traffic everyday who have just lost their jobs?
Some have been told they've got Cancer; others perhaps just lost a loved one.

Things such as these happen everyday and we don't even notice them. Has the modern world turned us into selfish people? Are we too scared to take the time to wonder why that person sitting in the corner is crying?

  1. *Crying - I like to think that if I saw someone crying I would ask them if they were okay, truth is that we're all so wrapped up in our own lives we don't stop to wonder why a friend was quieter than usual. I agree with you, we should take a second to see other people
