In today's world we are always asked when filling in application forms, what our race is.
Many find this offensive and others find it somewhat empowering. The real question is wheather the statistics collected are actually being used in a positive or negative light?
*Whether. I don't believe it is important to state your race. You should be accepted on merit not on the colour of your skin.
ReplyDeleteMy opinion is that protocol such as the above ie(asking race) gives the impression that we are all regarded as different races. Hence the stigma that lingers like a thick smog
